Tony Johnson

Sr. Executive Director Logistics and Support Services

Born and raised in Ashdown, Arkansas, Tony Johnson has a BBA from Henderson State University.  Tony brings 18 years of experience with Wal-Mart/Sam’s Club in five different states, managing stores that have annual sales in excess of $100 million dollars. Tony has 29 years in management and is currently the Executive Director of Logistics and Support Services at The University of Alabama overseeing the following departments:  Campus Mail Services, Ferguson Mail Center (departmental mail and student’s mail/packages), Computer Aide Delivery, Central Receiving, Logistical Support, Property and Inventory Management (fixed assets and surplus property), Recycling, UA Garage Services, UA Boone Cabin Lake Property, Liaison to all 47 Greek Houses on campus, The Office of Sustainability and Donation Management of the Emergency Management Plan.

Julie Shelton, CPA

Associate Vice President for Finance

Julie Shelton, CPA, is Associate Vice President for Finance at The University of Alabama. Julie has 24 years of experience in the Finance Area. Prior to becoming Vice President for Finance she was Director of Financial Accounting and Reporting for 14 years. As Director she was responsible for accounting, reporting, tax, debt management, treasury management and cash management. Prior to becoming Director Julie held various other positions within the financial accounting and reporting department.

Delphine Harris

Executive Director of Business Process Innovation

Delphine Harris is the Executive Director of Business Process Innovation for the Division of Financial Affairs. Dr. Harris holds a BS from Stillman College and both an MBA and a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration from The University of Alabama. She is a Certified Treasury Professional and has worked in higher education for 15 years.

Dr. Harris is a member of the Association of Financial Professionals, Association of Higher Education Facilities Officers, National Association of College and University Business Officers, Accounting and Financial Women’s Alliance (AFWA). She is past president of West Alabama Chapter of AFWA and has published in Facilities Manager.

Milo J. Crabtree

Sr. Associate Director of Procurement Services

Milo J. Crabtree is the Associate Director of Procurement Services for The University of Alabama. In this role, he directs the day to day activities of the Accounts Payable, Furnishings and Design, Purchasing and Purchasing Card Services departments.

Mr. Crabtree has spent over twenty five years in the fields of purchasing and property during his career with the Department of Finance and Administration, Office of Purchasing, Travel and Fleet Management in the Department of Finance and Administration, Mississippi State University and the University of Southern Mississippi.  Milo holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of South Alabama, Mobile Alabama.

He is actively involved in several national, state and local organizations, including the National Association of State Procurement Officers, the National Institute of Governmental Purchasing, the National Property Management Association, the Mississippi Association of Governmental Purchasing/Property Agents and National Associate of Educational Procurement.

Milo has been married to Donna Brantley Crabtree for over ten years and they have two children, Brooks and Brett and one granddaughter, Bella Joy.

Kristina Hopton-Jones is the Director of University Dining services at the University of Alabama.  Since July, 2000, she has worked in Enterprise Operations and serves as the food service contract administrator/liaison.  During her time at UA, the department has grown from 6 to 26 food service locations across campus.  She received her BA from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Monica H. Moss Watkins, M.S.

Arboretum Director

Monica Watkins is Director of the University of Alabama Arboretum, a 60 acre botanical institution sponsored by the Department of Biological Sciences in the College of Arts & Sciences.  Monica graduated from the University of Alabama in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology.  She received a Master of Science degree in Forest Resources from the University of Georgia and was a graduate teaching assistant and NSF GK-12 fellow in the Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Southern Mississippi prior to returning to UA.  She is currently pursuing a doctorate in Science Education at Southern Miss. 

Monica is responsible for all operations at the Arboretum including facilities, education, research, and outreach.  She supervises composting of organic waste from the University’s grounds and dining halls.  Current and future Arboretum demonstrations include sustainable agriculture, forest management, alternative energy, and water conservation.

George Cook

Logistics and Support Services Assistant

George is a native of Tuscaloosa. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the University of Alabama in 2006 plus received an Online Minor in Computing Technology and Applications in 2012.  He works in the Logistics and Support Services department as an Assistant to the Executive Director under Tony Johnson. He has been with the University of Alabama since 2009. George enjoys Alabama sports, cooking, fishing, hunting and being outdoors.
